The Cultural Arts Center hosted their first "Dancing for the Arts" competition June 12, 2026 at the Dothan Civic Center, 7:30 pm.

Inspired by the popular television series " Dancing With The Stars", The Cultural Arts Center brought together some of our own local celebrities and professional dancers for a evening of fun and excitement. 6 local celebrities and their professional dance partners danced their hearts out on stage working hard to win several awards. While judges were compiling their notes, our audience enjoyed a Flash Mob experience on the stage, the arena floor, and even in the balcony led by Sharon Cherry and friends.  Winners of the evening were: Sharon Cherry & Ron Devane won the Sponsorship Award, People's Choice Award, and the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Terri Granger & Dr. Fady Wanna won the Judges Choice Award. These 6 wonderful dancers raised $70,000 for the center to use this summer and next year!
