EVERY HUE! is a new event designed to provide needed funding to both the Cultural Arts Center and the EnAble project (Calvary Baptist Church) in Dothan as well as recognize talented young artists who share special needs. A percentage of the proceeds of this event will be given to EnAble by the CAC in December to further facilitate art with their special needs students and be an additional support to the Art Project Houston Academy has started with EnAble to provide art supplies. The remainder of the funds raised by the event will be used by the CAC to continue to be the home for several performing arts organizations for the next year.

Student Winners for People’s Choice Awards will be eligible to win 1st place-$100; 2nd place winner-$75: 3rd place winner- $25. Select pieces of art will be eligible for purchase through Silent Auction. All student artwork including the winning auctioned items and People’s Choice Award Items will be kept by the CAC to allow showing in the Lobby of the CAC and for display at two of our city’s local galleries: The Peanut Gallery and Bell’s Gallery. The items will be distributed and remain with the CAC and these 2 galleries through November 29, 2024. Items sold at auction will go to their new owners during December 2-5, 2024, and all other artworks will be made available for return to the artists.

"A special viewing of all art submitted for the project but designed to allow for student artists with sensitivity to noise, crowds, lighting, etc. to see the project in a different view. Student Artist families can still place bids on art pieces through silent auction forms and can turn in People’s Choice Award revenue at this time.”

Artist Divisions are as follows:

DIVISION 1: Artists ages 5-12 years of age: your work will need to be on any type of paper—watercolors paper, mixed media paper, or drawing paper.

Art that can be accepted in this category are Portraits, Landscapes, Still Life, and Mixed Media.

No Photography, 3D works such as Sculpture, Pottery, or Ceramics will be accepted. No Canvas work will be accepted, only work on various forms of paper.

Artwork should be original to the student and created by the student on paper.

The minimum size artwork accepted is 8”X10” up to maximum size of 30”X40”.

Students will create their work, and on the back of the piece please put a piece of paper that has the Students Name, Age, Telephone Number, Title of Work, and Medium AONG WITH THE REGISTRATION FORM.
Student artwork must be delivered to the Cultural Arts Center NO LATER THAN FRIDAY OCTOBER 4, 2024, AT 5 PM.
